Rosalyn Anderson

My practice involves the exploration of different avenues to combine art and photography. I use digital animation techniques, analogue imagery, found paintings, drawing and collage to create hybrid multimedia works.

 

Photography has been my passion since I was 8 years old and was given my first (blue plastic) Hanimex camera. I couldn’t wait to get the film back from the local chemist and study the photos and compare them to the negatives and try to figure out the hows and whys. It was magic to me then, and 40 years later it is still magic.

 

My intention now, is to capture the fleeting, yet chaotic nature of life by combining the time based elements of music and dance with imagery from my personal history.
